Anitha Kumpati is an immigration lawyer serving the Austin metropolitan area.

Kumpati is a law graduate from St. Mary’s University and a member of the State Bar of Texas. As part of the Texas Opportunity & Justice Incubator by State Bar of Texas, Anitha is committed to bridge the justice gap by reaching out to those in need of legal assistance.  Using her intellectual skills for the benefit of the people in need around her has been Anitha’s passion since her childhood days.

When she first came to the United States as an immigrant, Anitha and her family personally faced immigration challenges to enter into this country, like several of you. But now, Anitha has great respect towards the United States for giving her an opportunity, not only to be part of this country, but also a part of  the legal community. She strongly believes that every immigrant has a fair chance to be part of the United States, because of several advantageous provisions that have been created in favor of immigrants. All that we need to do is to either know those rules and provisions, or find an immigration attorney that can work on behalf of us.  As a parent and a spouse, Anitha can understand the pain of family separation and the need for urgency in uniting the families.

By serving as a pro- bono attorney to Immigration legal service providers like American Gateways, Kumpati tries her best to serve the immigrant community as frequently as possible. As a pro-bono attorney, she has worked with diverse clients seeking asylum from countries like Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Congo and Mexico etc.
